Goru meeti sweet | Andhra special Goru Meeti Sweet in Telugu
Ingredients
• Maida -2 cups▪ Bombay Rava -1cup▪ Jaggery - 1cup
▪ Ghee -2 tablespoons
▪ Baking soda
▪ Oil
Procedure
◆ Take a bowl and add 2 cups of maida and 1cup of bombay rava, a pinch of baking soda, 2 tablespoons of melted ghee, knead it in to soft dough adding enough water.◆ let it ferment for 1 hour.
◆ Now make vertical shaped rods from the dough and spread it long using your thumb, press with your thumb,leave some gap and again press your thumb,repeat till the end.
◆ Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
◆ Place a pan on flame and add oil for deep fry, fry the goru meeti till the colour changes to golden yellow colour on both sides and keep aside.
◆ Place a pan on flame and add 1cup of jaggery and pour 1 small glass of water and cook till you get thick syrup.
◆ When the syrup is done add the fried goru meeti and mix well,transfer in to a container, remains fresh for 1 week.
NOTE
● To know whether thick syrup is done, take a small plate with water and add the syrup ,if the syrup forms a solid in water then it is done,if it is soluble in water then boil for few more minutes.
