Bellam poosa mitai
Ingredients
▪ Gram flour ( senagapindi ) - 2 cups▪ Jaggery - 1cup
▪ Ghee - 2 tablespoons
▪ Oil
Procedure
◆ Take a bowl and add 2 cups of gram flour and add enough water and knead in to dough.
◆ Now place a pan on flame and add oil for deep fry,then take a muruku mould and stuff the dough and press in the hot oil.
◆ Fry them till the colour changes to golden yellow colour.
◆ Repeat the process with the remaining dough and keep aside.
◆ Now place a pan on flame and add 1cup of jaggery and pour half glass of water and boil till it forms thick syrup. { take a small bowl with water and add syrup, if the syrup forms a solid ball then the syrup is done, if it is soluble in water then boil for few more minutes } now add 2 tablespoons of ghee and mix well.
◆ Now smash the above fried muruku ,such that they absorb the syrup completely.,now transfer them in the syrup and mix thoroughly and transfer in to a bowl.
◆ Now bellam poosa mitai is ready,remains fresh for 1 week.
