Double ka meetha Ingredients
◆ Bread slices-1 packet
◆ Sugar - 1cup (250gms)
◆ Milk-1/4 litre
◆ Dry fruits
◆ Ghee
◆ Cardamom powder -1 teaspoon
◆ Water
Procedure of double ka Meeta
◆ Firstly cut the bread slices in to quarter pieces and keep aside (can remove the brown edges of bread if not interested )
◆ Now place a pan on flame and shallow fry the above bread pieces using ghee on both sides till it becomes crispy and keep aside. (Can toast or deep fry the bread slices).
◆ Now place a wok on flame and add 250 grams of sugar, add half glass of water and boil till the sugar dissolves and becomes sticky.
◆ Now add the above fried bread pieces in the syrup, cook till the bread pieces absorb the sugar syrup.
◆ Add 250 ml of milk to the above sugar syrup and cook for 2 minutes.
◆ Meanwhile fry the dry fruits in ghee and keep aside.
◆ Now add 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder and the above fried dry fruits and mix well.
◆ Finally add 1 tablespoon of ghee, mix well and put off the flame.
◆ Double ka meetha is now ready to serve, can serve hot or chilled.
