Nimmakaya pulihora, lemon rice.
Pulihora Ingredients
◆ Lemons -2
◆ Cooked rice-1bowl
◆ Green chillies - 5
◆ Red chillies - 4
◆ Turmeric powder
◆ Mustard - half teaspoon
◆ Jeera - half teaspoon
◆ Fenugreek seeds - 1 / 4 teaspoon
◆ Bengal gram - 1 tablespoon
◆ Black gram - 1 tablespoon
◆ Curry leaves
◆ Ground nut - 1 tablespoon
◆ Grated carrot-1 cup
◆ Oil- 2 tablespoons
Note
◆ Squeeze lemon in to juice and keep aside.
◆ Split green chillies in to two and keep aside.
◆ Roast half teaspoon of jeera and 1/4 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds and grind in to fine powder.
Pulihora Procedure
◆ Place a pan on flame and add 2 tablespoons of oil, now add 4 red chillies fry it and keep aside. Now in the same pan add 1 tablespoon of ground nut, black gram and bengal gram, let if fry for few minutes.
◆ Now add curry leaves,green chillies, half teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of jeera fenugreek powder and mix well.Now add 1cup of grated carrot and cook for 2 minutes.
◆ Now add enough salt and add the above cooked rice and mix well.
◆ Now put off the flame and add the above squeezed lemon juice and serve hot.
