Chilakada dumpa purnalu, sweet potato purnalu
◆ Sweet potatoes (grated )-2 cups
◆ Jaggery - 1cup
◆ Rice - 2 cups
◆ Black gram - 1 cup
◆ Salt -pinch
◆ Ghee-2 tablespoons
◆ Oil - for deep fry
Procedure
◆ Soak 2 cups of rice and 1cup of black gram in water for 4-5 hours and then grind in to fine paste and keep aside. Add a pinch of salt to it.
◆ Place a pan on flame and add 2 tablespoons of ghee and add the above 2 cups of grated sweet potatoes and fry till it leaves its raw smell,now add 1 cup of jaggery and mix well.
◆ Cook till the jaggery melts and becomes thick.when the complete mixture becomes thickened put off the flame and let it cool lb down.
◆ Now make them in to small balls and keep aside.
◆ Place a pan on flame and add oil for deep fry, now dip the above prepared balls in the batter (rice and black gram paste)and fry them in the oil.
◆ Fry them till the colour changes to light golden colour and keep aside.
◆ Now sweet potato purnalu are ready to serve.
