Sunnundalu Urad Dal Sunnundalu - Andhra Telugu Recipes


Urad Dal SunnundaluIngredients:

  •   Black gram / Urad dal/ Minapappu -1 cup
  •   Sugar- 2 cups
  •   Ghee-150ml
  •   Rice - 2 tablespoons

Sunnundalu Procedure:

  • Firstly roast black gram on a medium flame and then 2 tablespoons of rice and keep it aside. 
  • Roast them till they change the colour to golden brown. 
  • Now transfer the roasted black gram and rice into a dry jar and grind into fine powder.
  • Melt the ghee on low flame and pour this in to the fine powder. 
  • Mix thoroughly such that the fine powder and ghee gets well mixed.
  • Now shape them in to fine balls . 
  • These ladoos can be preserved fresh for 2-3 weeks in an air tight container.

Health Benefits:

  • Sunnundalu are a very good source of protein .
  • Recommended mostly for growing children and pregnant women, and of course every one.
