Chola masala curry,Chole Masala Curry,Channa Masla Curry Recipe, Punjabi special chole Masala Curry

Ingredients

◆ Chick peas (white)-1 bowl
◆ Chopped onions -3 tablespoons
◆ Onions paste- 2 tablespoons
◆ Tomato paste-3 tablespoons
◆ Tamarind paste -1 tablespoon
◆ Ginger garlic paste -1 tablespoon
◆ Salt
◆ Turmeric powder
◆ Red chilli powder
◆Mustard
◆ Jeera
◆ Curry leaves
◆ coriander leaves
◆ Curd-4 tablespoons
◆ Oil -2 tablespoons
◆ Water
◆ Garam masala -1 tablespoon
◆ Chola masala -tablespoon

Procedure


[Soak chick peas in water for 6 hours and boil them.]

◆ Place a pan on flame and add 2 tablespoons of oil,1 teaspoon of mustard and jeera, curry leaves and mix well.
◆ Now add 3tablespoons of chopped onions, turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste, cook for 1 minute.
◆ Now add 2 tablespoons of onion paste and 3 tablespoons of tomato paste, 1 tablespoon of tamarind paste,red chilli powder, enough salt and cook till the raw smell escapes out.
◆ Add 2 cups of water mix well and cook for another 3 minutes.
◆ Now add the above boiled chick peas and 2 tablespoons of mashed chick peas to gain consistency .
◆ Now cook for 2 minutes and add 4 tablespoons of curd,1 teaspoon of garam masala and 1 teaspoon of chola masala ,1 teaspoon of sugar,mix well and cook for 2 minutes .
◆ Now put off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.

 Good combination with all roti varieties and biryani.
